Camogs League Action

On Saturday 22nd June, our U12 team hosted Kilcoo in the League. Kilcoo came out the eventual winners of this very exciting match which saw lovely goals from Fianna Murney and Isabelle McFerran and a great display of camogie from the whole team, captained by Mia Byrne!

Our U6 and U8 teams made the short journey to An Ríocht for a wonderful morning of games. Our young camógs really are a force to be reckoned with, showing great skill and teamwork.

Thank you very much to all the parents, grandparents and supporters who came to all matches this morning. It is very much appreciated. Blitz for U6, U8 and U10 is Castlewellan, next Sunday 30th June at 11am.

Young Camogs Inspired By All Ireland Hero’s

It was great to welcome Down Camógs, Fionnuala Carr and Claire McGilligan to our Camogie training on Friday 21st June. Also in attendance were the Down Cup, Ulster Cup and AIB Club Championship Cup.

Our players were delighted to meet Fionnuala and Claire, who joined in the training sessions, gave the girls advice on improving their technique and even signed hurls and jerseys.

It was lovely to see so many of our young camógs wanting to get their photos taken with the trophies-who knows maybe one day they’ll be bringing them home to Warrenpoint themselves!
