Cumann Pheadair Naofa dancing section travelled to Ennis, County Clare at the weekend to participate in the All Ireland Fleadh where they represented club, county and province in the ceili and set competitions.

First to the stage on Friday morning were our 12-15 girls 4 hand reel who performed exceptionally well in a massive competition, well done to the girls. Saturday morning saw our half set perform in the mixed competition for the first time in the All Ireland. Turlough, Micheal, Sinead and Anna danced three beautiful figures and were welcomed on stage to a rapturous applause by the full competition hall. The mixed 4 hand reel then took to the stage in the ceili hall and were placed third following beautiful and light performance. Last of the ceili dances saw the mixed team, our All Ireland Scor Finalists dance the Three tunes and they picked up second place.

Sets were to follow and first on stage was our ladies team who danced three figures of the Ardara Set and did mentor Turlough proud. They were followed on stage by our mixed team who danced three figures of the Cavan reel, both competitions saw 8 other sets dance and the competition from across Ireland was of an extremely high standard.

Congratulations to all our dance teams and supporters who travelled to Ennis to participate in the 2017 Fleadh. Many thanks to Oisin McCann for providing the music for all our dancers.
