Can everyone involved with the U14 FOOTBALLERS please note that the lads feile semi-final venue has changed to Ballykinlar. Matches are still due to kick off at 10 on Saturday. Make sure to be there if you can to support our lads.

A big cheer for the U14 FOOTBALLERS who won both their matches in the Feile at the weekend. WARRENPOINT 3-06 CLANN NA BANNA 2-00 and WARRENPOINT2-01 TULLYLISH 2-00. They will be in the semi-final on Saturday in St. Johns at 10am. We would like as much support as possible to go, to help the boys towards bringing some silverware back to the club. Best of Luck lads.

A notice came through to the club from the county board to inform us that under no circumstances can girls play under 14 hurling or football.

The MINOR FOOTBALLERS will be playing in the Feis 7s this Sunday in Burren, tournament commences at 12. Opposing teams will be Annaclone, An Riocht, Ballymartin, Ballyholland, Burren, Clonduff, Clann Na Banna, Drumgath, Glasdrumman, Glenn, Longstone, Mayobridge,Rostrevor, Saval, Tullylish.

U16 HURLERS lose their playoff match away to Bredagh and will unfortunately will have to play Division 2 hurling this year. WARRENPOINT 1-01 BREDAGH 3-07

The best of luck goes out to Miceal Cunnigham and Matthew Teague who are travelling, with the county minor hurling team, down to Kilkenny for the weekend for a coaching session and a match against the Kilkenny Minor team.

A big thanks goes to all who showed up for the table quiz on thursday night in the Canal Court, especially to those from other clubs.

The SENIOR FOOTBALLERS were shown how tough it will be this year in Division 2 learning a hard lesson against Bryansford on Friday night. WARRENPOINT 0-07 BRYANSFORD 1-14.

The SENIOR HURLERS had a good win in the Ulster League last night away to Latton from Monaghan. WARRENPOINT 5-12 LATTON 0-05.

The MINOR FOOTBALLERS continued their great start with another win, this time over Shamrocks, in Moygannon, on Friday night.

The U16 HURLERS gained the points on Friday night, unfortunately, because Clonduff could not field. This means that they are through to the play off match on Monday night, away to Bredagh. If the Point win they will get promoted up to Division 1.

Can everyone remember to support the club tomorrow night in the canal court for our table quiz, every one welcome starts at ten and cost £3 per person. All proceeds go towards club maintenance and development.

Can all club members and supporters please note that there will be a table quiz this Thursday in the Canal Court. All proceeds will go towards future club developments and current running costs. It is expected that all will be there, quiz should start no later than ten and should be over reasonably early for those who are up early on Friday. Remember folks your club needs your support, as we say to all the kids just show up and bring a friend.

Tommorrow nights game in Moygannon against Bryansford for the SENIOR FOOTBALLERS has been given a 6.45 throw in. Please show your support especially at all home games. Then the next game for them is on Sunday at 5 in Dundrum.

The SENIOR RESERVES are then playing away to Tullylish on Monday with the throw in at 7.

Another note folks to remember the SENIOR HURLERS kick off their season tommorrow night away to Clonduff at 7. The following night, Wednesday, the SENIOR FOOTBALLERS start their campaign with a tough opener against Bryansford in Moygannon also at 7. Show your support to both teams and turn out in force to help all the lads on their way to hopefully some silverware.

Well done to the MINOR HURLERS who defeated Kilclief tonight in Moygannon on a scoreline of WARRENPOINT 8-09 KILCLIEF 0-04.

The MINOR FOOTBALLERS also continued their good start to the season with a worthy win over Shamrocks last week.

Not to be out done by their older counterparts the U16 FOOTBALLERS continued their winning ways with a win against Rostrevor to make it a double over their close neighbours with the Minors having defeated them the previous week.

The U14 FOOTBALLERS were not so fortunate losing out to Clonduff by a point in their game on Thursday evening.

Also on Thursday evening, a bad evening for the Point, the SENIOR HURLERS lost out to Killeavey by a goal in an Ulster League match in Moygannon.

Hard Luck goes out to the SOUTH DOWN HURLERS who lost out by a solitary point after extra time, in the National League Division 4 Final.. Five Warrenpoint lads were on the squad; Karl Maxwell, Allan Higgins, John O Kane, Michael Murphy and Ronan Mulligan. Well done to the boys. FINAL SCORE SOUTH DOWN 5-14 MONAGHAN 1-27. See Report

The Reserve Senior Footballers lost out in a tight battle with Carryduff in Moygannon yesterday FINAL SCORE WARRENPOINT 2-10 CARRYDUFF 2-12

Please note that the SENIOR FOOTBALL match against Bryansford has been put back till next wednesday.

Well done to the U16 Hurlers who travelled up to Newry on Friday evening and came away with a convincing win, FINAL SCORE WARRENPOINT 5-09 SHAMROCKS 1-02

The U12 Hurlers travelled to Ballela on Saturday with a good sized panel for a league game against a strong Ballela team. Performing well they were unfortunate to come out the wrong end of the score line FINAL SCORE WARRENPOINT 5-01 BALLELA 7-01

Please Note that the MINOR HURLING game v St Pats tonight has been called off there will be training instead at 6.30 in St Marks.

Well done to the U12 Camogs who beat Attical up at St Marks on Saturday by 2-0 to 1-0.

The U16 Camogs game against Ballygalget was called off due to confirmation being held. The match will be rescheduled for a later date.

It has been confirmed that a bus will be going to the National Hurling League Division 4 final between South Down and Monaghan on Sunday. The bus will be leaving from St Marks at 12.00, and the cost is £5 per person. Under 16s please remember that admission will be free into the game so it will be a worthwhile trip. The bus is expected back around 8pm so kids please bring a packed lunch.

Best of Luck goes out to all the lads involved with the South Down team on Sunday in Breffni Park. The match commences at 4.15pm, which is preceded with the Down v Westmeath Division 2 semi final. At present there is talk of a bus being organised so anyone that is interested in going please let the club know.

SENIOR HURLERS lose out at St Endas tournament but only just. Having beaten Sean Traceys in their first match, they narrowly lost their next two games both to St Endas, and then in the final match upset the odds to comprehensively beat Ballycran 2nds for a memerable victory. Well done to all involved.
