Joint Managers, Ian Russell and David Rice, ably assisted with coaches Noreen Farrell and Delia O’Hagan, are delighted to manage Cumann Pheadair Naofa’s first Senior Ladies Gaelic football team this year. For Ian and David, this is a continuation of many year’s work they have put in with these girls from an early age in both manager and mentor roles.

Ian hails from Rostrevor, for whom he played Gaelic football with distinction for many years. David, from Killeavey, has lived in Warrenpoint for many years and has played for Killeavey and represented St Colman’s College, Newry and Queen University, Belfast on the Gaelic football field.

Both the Senior Ladies team and management panel are very excited at the prospect of the first Senior league fixture on Saturday 7th April against St Michael’s, Magheralin. Training will be stepped up from this week forward in anticipation for a good team debut performance. Your support would be very much appreciated on this historical day for both the girls and the club!
