Newry Shamrocks was the sun-drenched venue for the Down LGFA ‘Coach the Coaches’ programme run by Ciaran Murtagh (Ulster Ladies Officer) on Thursday evening.
Eighteen coaches were in attendance from fourteen clubs across the County, including Cumann Pheadair Naofa’s U-14 Manager Mike Barnett and U-14 coach, Killian Quinn, along with the Down U14 Panel showcasing their skills on the night. Coaches got practical examples of warm up ideas, conditioned and small sided games with players using game sense and decision-making skills through the games. Thanks to Newry Shamrocks for being hosts, Down LGFA for organising, the club coaches in attendance and most important the U14 Down panel.
