Under 16 Championship 1/2 final, 18th September 2007, Clonduff

Although we had a good strong team it just wasn’t our night.

With a strong full back line lead by Maria Canavan and supported by Shauna Lambe and Megen Ward, Warrenpoint fought to the end. The second half was a better half for Warrenpoint with Niamh Duffy showing strong determination. Orla Mc Parland and Cathy Lavery played hard and moved the ball well up the field. However the scores didn’t come.

We had a young team this year and I look forward to seeing all the girls back next year to training.

Under 16 Championship 1/4 final, 4th September 2007, Milltown Playing Fields

Congratulations to the U16 Camogie team lead by Captain Cathy Lavery and Vice captain Kate Nolan who beat Bryansford 3:4 to 0:0. They now face Hilltown in the semi final. Date yet to be confirmed.

Scores came from Orla Mc Parland (2 goals), Clare Grant (1 goal) & Cathy Lavery (4 points).
