With the rest of the juvenile football section on a well deserved break our minor footballers took advantage of the fixtures gap to travel to Baile an Locha on Tuesday evening to play a rescheduled league game. The blues got off to a great start and were leading 1-06 to 0-3 within the first 15 minutes. Baile an Locha steadied themselves and clawed back two goals and several points to be ahead by one at half time.
The second half got of at a great pace with each team taking their share of the scores. With five minutes left of the game Baile an Locha were ahead by five, but with four unanswered points from Allan Booth the ‘point team were right back in it. Unfortunately time ran out for the blues and at the final whistle the score was Cumann Pheadair Naofa 1-18 V 4-10 Baile an Locha.
