Plans are at an advanced stage for this year’s  Cumann Pheadair Naofa  summer Hurling/Camogie camp run in conjunction with Newry  Mourne  and Down District Council. This year club coaches will once again be joined by guest coaches from throughout Down and Ulster, the coaching highlight will be spearheaded by Tipperary native Paudie O’Neill. As recently as 2015 Paudie was a coach/selector of the Tipperary senior hurling team and is currently the chairman of the National Hurling Development Committee.

The camp takes place from 4 July until 8 July. As has been the case in previous years this has proven to be a popular event in the club’s calendar, drawing boys and girls from all over South Down and further afield to learn and play some Hurling/Camogie.
