The start of July saw Cumann Pheadaír Naofa annual Hurling & Camogie summer week run in conjunction with NM&D council. Traditionally this has seen the Hurling section provide coaching to the youth of the area, along with a few county stars and managers. This year’s event saw the camogie section also providing coaches and helping to run the week. With the popularity of hurling & camogie growing in the Warrenpoint area, this was reflected with 80-85 children attending every day, even Tuesday’s inclement weather failed to dampen the spirits of those attending. It is hoped that the success of the week will see an increase in those wishing to play Camogie & Hurling for the club.

Many thanks and congratulations most go to the summer week organising committee who ensure that this was a roaring success.
