The U16 footballers travelled to kilcoo on Thursday past to play Bryansford in the semi final of the All County U16 Championship. The blues got off to a great start with some great points and a goal from Cian McLoughlin. Aaron McBurney sloted over some supeb frees and Jamie Lynch, named along the sideline as the points Mo Farah, carried the ball the length of th field with Bryansford unable to stop him he slipped the ball to the pocket rocket Koree who slotted over the point of the half. The lads stood their ground against Bryansford with some fantastic defending and tackling racing in to half time in a 5 point lead.

 

The second half was the boys powering on and taking their scores, a long range kick from Conor Lavery dipped in over the keepers head to the back of the net, more or less sealing victory for the blues. Best on the night were Ruairi McCormack, Kohree Hourican and Sean O Hare, final score 2-13 to 1-08.

The team now progress to the final of which a time a venue are to be confirmed.
