Our U12 girls faced another tough challenge on Wednesday evening (30th May) away to Saval. From the outset, our defence was under pressure by a physically stronger side. Lauren Caldwell in goals pulled off three fantastic saves before unfortunately having to sit out following an injury sustained in action. When she recovered, she came back on and played great outfield. Her replacement, Millie Power-Bagnelle, was equally outstanding with some excellent saves.

Whenever the young blues managed to get the ball out of defence, some great scoring opportunities were created with Muirin Sneddon, Kate Mansfield and Sydney Barnett getting on the score sheet as usual. Great improvements were shown by Shaena McBurney, Anna Malone, Megan McKeown and Iva-Sara Ivanov. All the other girls tried very hard throughout, never giving up, but in the end, it was Saval’s victory.

No match next week so the girls will get a couple of good training sessions under their belts before their next home game vs Annaclone on June 13th.
