In an entertaining game this morning at Milltown, Cumann Pheadaír Naofa got off to a flying start with 2-2 scored in the first 10 minutes without reply from the south Belfast side. After this shock opening 10 minutes Carryduff shock themselves up and picked off two points. Within minutes of this some terrible defensive mistakes allowed Carryduff take the lead with three quick goals, to leave two points in it at half time. With the blues management settling the young lads during the break Cumann Pheadaír Naofa came out in the second half with a fantastic work ethic and with a total commitment to every ball saw them start to dominate proceeding.

With 10 minutes to go Warrenpoint got their noses in front after a momentary lapse of concentration had seen Carryduff slip in for another goal, but with the outstanding Nathan Foy at midfield the blues were not going to be beaten today. Two great scores from Oisín Kelly and another from Tiernan Murphy saw Cumann Pheadaír Naofa steady the ship as Conan Kelly controlled the defensive area in front of goal.

Overall this was a very good performance from the home team, but a few lapses in concentration during the game will have given Adrian McNally something to focus on during the next training session.
