St Peters GAA in partnership with the RNLI and Education Authority are running a week long

‘Warrenpoint Summer Splash-Water Awareness ’ program starting on Monday 6 August at 7pm in clubrooms suitable for boys and girls aged 14, 15 and 16. This project has come about as part of the national ‘Respect the Water’ campaign launched by GAA and RNLI partnership and as a coastal town Warrenpoint is a great fit for this program. We all want to see our young people stay safe at the water’s edge and along the pier.

It will be a fun week of activities including a visit to RNLI in KIlkeel, an evening in the water with East Coast adventure, a social trip to Jump box Trampoline Park in Banbridge. There will be workshops with ‘Love your Lough’, and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue service (NIFRS) Water Rescue Team. Also there will be a first aid session with a paramedic on how to deal with water based emergencies. The program will be delivered by EA Area Youth Worker Carrie Crawford and her assistants and only cost will be admission to Jump box @£10.
