First up was Carryduff on Tuesday and with a number of boys away on holiday the young point team put in a strong performance! The nip and tuck game swayed both ways for majority of the game. The turning points where an injury to influential forward Eoghan Byrne and a black card gave Carryduff a big boost in the second half. A brilliant goal from Peter Sweeney gave the blues a chance but Carryduff ran out winners in the end by 6.

The second game on Friday seen the young minor team take on table toppers Clonduff. The yellows started the half very strongly and looked like they wouldn’t miss a thing on the night kicking excellent scores. The blues came out with a bit more purpose in the second half hitting the net twice and tagging over a few scores. Clonduff awoke again and looked very impressive throughout finishing the game with a comprehensive win in the end!

All focus moves towards the championship now for the minors which kicks off on the 15th of August.
